Colts Head Veterinary Services can perform numerous minor surgeries at your farm. We use sedation and local nerve blocks to perform many of these procedures on the standing horse.
- Laceration repairs, including eyelid lacerations
- Small lump/mass removal and diagnosis with histopathology
- Castrations (recumbent or standing)
- Caslick procedure (temporarily suturing the mare’s vulva to prevent uterine infection)
